Hey friends! I am beyond happy to introduce Cover Story—my brand-new art journaling workshop! It’s been a few years since my last class, and during that time, I’ve grown so much in my creative journey. This workshop is a reflection of everything I’ve learned and explored, and I cannot wait to share it with you! In Cover Story, we’ll dive into creating stunning mixed media covers for your journals. With 2025 around the corner, there’s no better way to prepare for a year of gratitude, self-reflection, and soul discovery than journaling—and what better way to start than with a personalized, beautiful journal cover? Use this class to create the cover to YOUR beautiful story.
This workshop includes 4 lessons, where I’ll guide you step-by-step in creating “twin” journal covers—using the same techniques on two books but with unique and unexpected results. By the end, you’ll have 8 beautifully designed covers! But wait…—these techniques can also be used for any art journaling project, whether or not you’re working on book covers.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Materials & Techniques: We’ll paint, spray, stick, and even work with resin epoxy to create stunning, layered mixed media art.
- Digital Goodies: All class materials that I use in the workshop, including my flowers, flourishes, and stencils (in PNG format), are included. I’ll also share tips for printing and cutting with a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut.
- Self-Paced, Online: This workshop is entirely online, so you can create at your own pace, on your own time.
Workshop Breakdown:
- Gathering Your Materials
- Lesson 1: The one where we start with blue spray paint.
- Lesson 2: The one where we start with a crimson ombre print.
- Lesson 3: The one where we start with deep violet ink splatters.
- Lesson 4: The one where we start with textbook paper.
This is your chance to carve out time for yourself, dive into the world of mixed media, and create something truly meaningful. Whether you’re a seasoned journaler or just getting started, this workshop is designed to spark inspiration and creativity.
