Painting Class #1 2021
Welcome!
I am very excited to bring you this class where we will be painting two paintings (one of my favorite things to do)! This way you will do the same work but have two finished products!
There are 3 lessons in this class:
- Lesson 1: Prime, Trace and Draw
- Lesson 2: Pinks, Yellow and Greens
- Lesson 3: Wash, White and Details.
Every one of these are a title to its own video.
You will also find the drawing downloads (print these on 11×17 paper) and reference images in the Prime and Trace Lesson.

Supply List:
- One broad flat brush about 1 or 2 inches wide
- A few medium flat brushes
- Small round brushes for detail work.
- 2 Canvasses 12×16 inches
- The following paint colors (I use Liquitex Basics in this class):
- Black acrylic ink
- Titanium White Acrylic paint (heavy body paint)
- Cadmium yellow
- Cadmium red
- Rose pink
- Magenta
- Deep Violet
- Sap green
- Vivid lime green
- Hookers green
- Prussian Blue
- Turquoise deep
- Gesso to prime your canvas
- Carbon Paper to transfer the image on the canvas
- Paint cloth

Lesson 3: Background and Details
Background I have three videos in this section:The background washes and solid colour and then just the details. A few little tips: Use a fine tip round brush for the details. Make sure the paint for the details is thin enough Let the paint dry completely between layers. Downloads
