What is it about?
Over the years I have learned that joy and peace does not simply show up in life: It’s something that needs to be sought after and cultivated in a very specific and unique manner. It sometimes simply require a shift in focus or an adjustment in attitude and it always bring joy and peace and are seldom hard work. The smallest change in perception is a miracle. This is exactly what the content part of this workshop will be all about: small changes, simplicity and honesty. When you give yourself permission to speak/write/create your truth it is one of the most freeing things in the world. And it brings about so much joy and peace.
For me personally, I cannot imagine these subtle and simple changes happening in my life without the Bible. I really don’t mean to offend anyone with what I am about to write but this is my truth: God’s Word has been the single most amazing influence in my life over the last 25 years. To me reading the Word is an experience. It’s life giving. It’s joy and peace and every good emotion. It’s always timely and even when I feel disciplined it’s a feeling of joy. It has never disappoint me. Even when I though things would work out differently than it did. I always felt comforted, cheered and encouraged. I am not interested in religion – meaning doctrine and rules and when to sit and when to stand and on what day to go to church and what church to attend and when to take communion and when to be baptized. I feel that everyone has a right to believe as they want on all these things. I have lots of grace for different point of views. What I am interested in and what I want to explore in this class is the experience of joy and peace which leads to inner beauty. 1 Peter 3:3-4 (AMP) Let not your (beauty) be the [merely] external adorning with [elaborate] interweaving and knotting of the hair, the wearing of jewelry, or changes of clothes; 4 But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which [is not anxious or wrought up, but] is very precious in the sight of God.
I want us to explore together how to get there: A gentle and peaceful spirit which is not anxious or wrought up. If this is something that you want more of in your life then this workshop is for you.
How and what does this journey look like?
The content part of my layouts will be deep and meaningful but another BIG part will be the creating part. I am all in for this workshop and becuase I am not teaching a specific technique I will give myself the freedom to really make the most beautiful layouts of my scrapbook career. I will create cut files and printables and these will all be very specific to the content but I heard you when you gave me feedback on my questions and I think most of the products I design will be not be Bible verses. Some, but not all. 🙂 We will be doing self reflective pages so yes, in a way it’s all about you. You might need some pictures of you! My idea is to add all my layouts that I create for this workshop into their own album. I think it will be a beautiful legacy to leave behind.

What I hoped for from this workshop was to be inspired, to be moved, to get to know Wilna better and to get a glimpse into the magic that she spins in every single page she makes. All I can say is, I have not been disappointed: not one little bit!

I did not start till December. But I have watched all the videos and that is saying a lot for me. I enjoyed them or would not have watched them one right after another, She is so sincere Love her way of teaching. I am not an artist but think I can do the pages. I love this class. Wilna obviously puts her heart into her work and I love the inspirational videos in which she shares her thoughts on the topic of the month. I love that this class combines both beautiful pages (and tons of printables and cut files!) and meaningful/emotional/spiritual content. There is ample opportunity to expand on the theme on your own, or to scale back a bit based on your preference or available creative time. Highly recommend this class.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! It is so fun, inspirational and encouraging! Wilna is delightful to listen to and she has a funny wit about her that makes the videos so enjoyable to watch. The print and cut files are amazingly beautiful and make your scrapbook pages look fantastic all by themselves. This class is worth every cent. I promise you will not be disappointed. But I have to warn you, it may become dangerous to take this class because then you will want to take ALL of Wilna’s classes! 🙂

I was initially hesitant to purchase this class but I am SO glad I did! This workshop is really wonderful. She creates the most beautiful illustrations each month, and it is so versatile – I found myself using it on scrapbook layouts, cards, journals and albums. I love watching her videos and love Wilna’s stories & testimonies. It’s is so inspiring and so, so fun! I can watch her videos all day lol 🙂 As she shares her journey, it has encouraged me and also challenged me to think where I am in life’s journey. This workshop has indeed helped me grow spiritually and artistically. No regrets definitely !

I debated purchasing this class for so long. It seems like a lot of money, but it’s absolutely worth it. I bought it in June (as the class was nearing its end) and it was possibly the best decision ever. If you’re as impatient as I am, then I’d buy it when most of the lessons are out and just work on them when you have time. I went through the first 6 months in a couple of weeks, and it was amazing. You may convince yourself that you’re buying it for the techniques and the exclusive products, but you’ll get so much more out of it. There are no words to convey just how much I loved this class. I didn’t think the faith portion would affect me as much as it did, but it absolutely reignited that fire that I thought had long since burnt out. I’m absolutely ecstatic that Wilna has decided to do another year long workshop. I know it’s time consuming, but it’s so worth it for everything you get out of it. Watching her videos is sometimes like meeting a friend for coffee and just chatting about Wilna’s projects.
Do the lessons in order, starting with September. It’s important that you don’t jump into the middle because you can see the process growing from the beginning. You can see the evolution of yourself and your pages over the course of each lesson. The layouts I made in this class are some of the most colourful pages I’ve ever made. This is the first time I’ve ever done mixed media pages and I love each of them for their own reasons. Don’t hesitate. Buy this class as soon as you can.
